Wedding-Scott and Sam

Back in July I had the pleasure to not only be in my brother and sister in-laws wedding, but also to photograph it. Scott and Sam met 5 years ago at work. When they decided to get married it wasn't a shock to any of us. Sams world took a turn for the crazy busy as she planned their wedding in 4 short months, I have yet to meet a more efficiently decisive bride, wish I was like that. When I showed up at their house in the morning it was the epitomy of calm (well, on the outside anyways) Sam was making omlettes and Scott was finishing up his vows, and I was welcomed with a big huge "hey". I was expecting the jitters, the scatteredness and the where are my shoes? but instead just "hey" as she flipped the omlette. I tend to believe this is because they were ready, they knew and they weren't looking back.
Their wedding was filled with calmness, laughs, friends, family and a little bit of happy tears, the perfect recipe for a great wedding day.

Scott and Sam opted to see each other before their ceremony. I love this because it gives the bride and groom time to just sink into the moment

Newborn - Makenzie

This is little Makenzie. I believe she was around 5 weeks when we took these photos and still so very tiny but her personality was anything but. She stayed awake for our whole session and hardly fussed at all, just gazed around with her big blues and took everything in. We played the staring game between her and my camera and catch the pose if you can as she stretched out her little legs and arms, she played both games to win but I pulled a move or two of my own and voila!

Maternity-Ashley

Maternity sessions are one of my favorite and shooting Ashley and her family was no different. We met up for some studio photos then took it outdoors with the whole clan. I love seeing the affection of the entire family and what a big role the new addition already plays, even before they've all met. As I was shooting Ashley I asked if she knew what she was having and she promptly said "a girl!" with a huge smile on her face. This meant another little sister for Gage, a sister, best friend and partner in crime for 1 year old Brooke and the perfect completion to thier family of 5.
